the fingers malone ensemble aka vinnie laduce: From the bass heavy clubs of East London to afternoon martinis on a Byron Bay beach. Inter-continental producer, multi-instrumentalist, film maker and unique performer, fingers malone, burns a double ended candle and creates music that simultaneously oozes the feeling of late heady nights and lazy long afternoons.
Dividing his time between London and the quiet village of Fingal Head, Australia, recent live shows have been flooring audiences across the globe as he switches between casio keyboards, live mpc playing and booty shaking bass lines all with his rap singing over the top. As a producer, his work with Ash Grunwald for his album “Trouble’s Door” is rocking the airwaves of Triple J in Australia on high rotation in the form of the first single ‘Longtime’. Ash is taking the fingers malone ensemble on the road for the support slot on his Australian tour.
The sound of the ensemble could best be described as a cinematic mix of hip hop, jazz, dub and dance. His debut album “push” is a mixture of distorted drum machines, swirling synthesizers and old school keyboards that never loses sight of the elements of good song writing.
Previously you may have caught him playing drums/mpc and synthesizers for Ash Grunwald’s live show. Ash’s last album “Hot Mama Vibes” was nominated for an Aria award and on the album fingers plays drums, mpc and keys and also has writing credits. When possible, he also plays drums for Gold Coast based band Laneway. You may even be unwittingly listening to some of his work for the London based film and television production label Pedigree Cuts. Songs from another recent project “The Royal Dealers” scored the award winning Australian film “Our Generation”.
A prolific artist, he is constantly creating in studios from Sydney to Soho so stay tuned for more d-floor bangers and bedroom shakers.
